Welcome to the Angelo Civic Theatre!

Many people in San Angelo know James Crowder as the cowboy chocolate man, but this August at Angelo Civic Theatre, Crowder is Tevye the dairyman. Crowder is one of many amazing volunteers creating a labor of love for ACT’s upcoming musical, Fiddler on the Roof.

Other volunteers starring alongside Crowder include Elizabeth O’Briant, Angela Brooks, Samantha Lewis, Michaela Montez, Dakota Meyers, Izabella Dabney, Benita Villeda-Graham, Jared Capps, Sean Lewis, Justin Luxton, Robert Williams, Caroline Stout, Leila Snell and many more. This cast is comprised of nearly 40 people ranging from six to 60 years of age.

Fiddler on the Roof is directed by Angelo Civic Theatre Artistic Director Cathryn Sanders. Kim Snell is the musical director.

Fiddler on the Roof takes place in the small town of Anatevka. Tevye, the poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight knit Jewish community in the face changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

Tradition, Matchmaker, If I were a Rich Man, The Sabbath Prayer, and Sunrise, Sunset are just a few of the songs that have made this musical a favorite for generations. This is the perfect back-to-school musical for the entire family!
